This really looks like one of those "GOT GREEDY" scenarios in which the company saw the response to sales and decided to cash in. What sucks is that they gave an erroneous deadline and we (the buyer) have to "eat it" just cause they jumped on the opportunity to make some fast cash!! I mean, we already paid in full.. the delay was a lack of foresight, and greed. why not push out a different drop for the next 150 etc... why make the whole lot pay the price for your last minute changes?? and if the parts where not on hand even for the first batch, why give a date that was not attainable? smells of greed/misinformation on both Massdrop and Noble... lets come clean and honest please. for most of us this was a huge chunk of change to drop for one item we expect to have for Xmas. some of us planned on gifting these to special people in our lives.. now.. well that's not gonna happen.. the card is quite frankly a joke IMO, thanks but no thanks...

killadawgTheir offices are in or VERY close to the MANDATORY evacuation zone: http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-thomas-fire-explainer-20171211-htmlstory.html https://nobleaudio.com/en/support/contact/
Give them a break. Their neighborhood is literally burning down. I certainly forgive them for not making hitting the shipment date for my deeply-discounted extreme luxury headphones their #1 priority during the fires. Frankly, I'm surprised that they figure they'll have everything sorted by the new date.
I hope everyone at MD + Noble is OK and able to enjoy their holiday seasons :)

ip2kAgree with ip2k's comments. I was also disappointed with the delay, but they've provided a pretty fulsome explanation and seem to be doing what they can. Can understand the frustration, but the rage seems a little misplaced. I've been on Massdrop long enough to know the occasional delays are part of the process, especially with these sort of custom orders/group buys. I think the "got greedy" is a bit unfair in light of the explanation for the delay (and noting they are now staggering the shipments as they get them out of production).

ip2kI do understand the current difficulties they are in, and I don't I'll wish anyone. As I stated in my comment, these fires where not an issue 2 weeks ago when production would have completed. I wish them the best of luck, yet I can't help but see that the initial deadline was not true, regardless of the current catastrophe. My prayers are with the families for sure, half my family is from Cali, and I was affected by the northern California fires myself, yet I didn't get to move any of my deadlines.. I still do think the move for adding 150 more units was a bit stretching it and it does look a bit on the greedy side.. my 2 cents.. sorry if I've offended anyone.. Cheers happy waiting

killadawgAs a pre-order, paying upfront 100% without work commencing nor has a binding agreement date to complete is more like a desperation on our behalf to get in on the action. And fair enough, back in Oct 2017 it made sense to me. I think Noble can produce great products (which i own), but they dont NEED to be sponsored by 450 people upfront to do what they can already do. I guess it appeals to the penny saved/earned mindset we apply to luxury goods purchases like this. The orders will eventually be fulfilled, people will be very happy with their orders if the product aligns properly to the existing K10 non-encore version. Meanwhile in Australia, I've watched Noble Audio prices drop, making the reward for waiting months to save a few hundred $ a bit sketchy now. Im time poor and the clock ticking....
