Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Picked mine up from the post office today. The first thing I noticed was how the ear tips were packaged. Stuffed into a small plastic ziplock, the sponge tips misshapen. Ok sure, not a big thing but it's not how I've seen these packaged in previous unboxing photos (see example from an unboxing of k10u's).
I also noticed that there was no ownership card, no noble decal, no rubber bands. Okay, this is disappointing but maybe cost savings is understandable to get a great deal on the k10u's.
What's worse is I've discovered the audio is cutting out intermittently on the right channel. I traced the issue to a loose connection or pinched wire at the headphone jack. Really not expected for an IEM of this price and brand name. Maybe Noble / Massdrop rushed these out after missing the original expected ship dates. I'll be contacting Noble for a replacement cable.
Has anyone else recieved a lemon on arrival?
UPDATE: Massdrop Customer Service got back to be. They said they only ordered enough units for the drop so the only resolution the can offer is for me to return it for a refund.... NOT what I want to do given I've waited so long and I want to keep them and there's no guarantee they'll be another drop in the future.
UPDATE 2: Brennan at Noble will be overnighting a replacement cable. I guess every now and then one is defective as they purchase them in quantity. Too bad it's not a nice gold x silver cable the phase 2 guys are getting but I'll take what I can to get these working properly
