Received mine Friday, they sound amazing. The packaging was a little lackluster till I noticed their was an extra "ultra thin cable* in the bottom. Does anyone know the sound signature of this cable? Is it balanced? Can't find any postings on it thanks.

GregCusackIs that in addition to or instead of the Gold x Silver one that was promised for the 2nd batch? https://nobleaudio.com/en/shop/accessories/ does also list Noble as selling an ultra-thin TRS cable (though they don't provide any extra details there) but that wasn't listed as an add-on for this drop like the lightning and TRRS options.
I would imagine that the thinner conductor would have a higher impedance (doubtful silver vs copper would make up the difference) but you would have to measure it - I don't know if the K10 is even as affected as much as some BA's (e.g. Andromeda or Primo 8) by impedance (I will have to try when I finally get mine...)
Edit 2 (fixed this original edit's mistakes): It looks like the K10 has an almost flat phase to its impedance (https://clarityfidelity.blogspot.com/2016/08/noble-audio-kaiser-10-universal-new-ver.html) but the magnitude decreases significantly until 200 Hz - so I assume this would mean more bass with higher impedance (though presumably not much effect with the impedance delta from a cable swap)

npc2My bad, it is the GoldxSilver after looking at the Noble web site.

GregCusackBut to me it makes up for the lack of packaging presentation pretty nice little add I must say.

GregCusackHow does it sound? (Quite curious since I am a little skeptical about the cable),

npc2I found that the GoldxSilver to be a lot warmer sounding and not as bright as the "black stock cable" to me it made a huge difference! I am using a fiio X5 3rd gen streaming Tidal and from SD card. I will not be going back to the stock black cable. Thanks Noble for the upgrade cable it made the wait worth it class act all the way around.

GregCusackThank you that's really helpful! :) Could you please delve further into how the Noble K10 and Fiio X5 III pair together? I'm thinking of getting the latter and I'm still waiting for my K10 to ship.

npc2So I finally got mine and measured the impedance of the cables:
Default: ~1.9 ohm Gold x Silver: ~0.4 ohm
This does seem like a relatively significant difference when the impedance of the IEM itself can dip pretty low (per the link above). I am going to have to do more A/B comparison to see if I can hear any significant difference (but the connectors are still too tight to keep switching them...)

npc2If you're measuring with a multi-meter than you are not measuring impedance but resistance. Multimeter uses DC for resistance/ohm measurements. To measure impedance you need an AC source. Basically a signal generator and an oscilloscope, because headphones have varying impedance based on frequency.

muxrYes I realize that impedance is a function of frequency but I am doubtful that magnitude or phase would vary much over audible frequency range for a simple wire, so DC resistance is likely nearly equivalent to the magnitude of the impedance for the cables.
Edit: To be clear, I was never referring to trying to measure the IEM' impedance.

npc2ahh, nevermind, I thought you were talking about the IEMs + wire loop. My bad.
