I just received mine from ups today. indeed the neal feay made aluminum boy is gorgeous and is lovely
Neal Feay didn't provide the CNC work for the Massdrop K10, but I'll pass on the compliment.
Thanks for the clarification. Just wonder if there's any actual difference in the aluminium housing from different suppliers?
I like the sound of my k10u better than the zeus i got from drop too last month. The k10u is very well balanced and pleasing to the ear, both sound-wise and in term of fitting. Please continue to offer good products at great price here in drop. And it's really nice to be able as an user to interact directly with the mstermind behind the product right better 😀
The biggest difference is internal.
Basically, due to the difference parts from suplier "A" cant be matched/joined with suplier "B."
Thank you again for your explanations.
I've a suggestion which many might have already mentioned: could the cable plug be angled type rather than the straight plug being used by noble now? I can see the merit for straight plug in home audio setting but i think angled plug is much more convenient for iem aiming for portable use mostly.
Massdrop has k10 inventory
In other words, one cant change what has already been built/assembled/packaged/distributed etc.
Compare with the Zeus, the sound is more balance; there's less treble and tougher, but lesser quantity of bass. Is overall more smooth, balanced and enjoyable to me. I'm primarily listening to Spotify pairing with the stock 2.5mm trrs cable and sp1000m.
Also, there're silicon tips in red and blue. The blue ones look a bit more rigid. Just wonder if anyone aware of the actual difference between the two? I'm not using the red silicon tip just for aesthetic reason.
