(Wanted to repost under reviews but wasn't able to) I am grateful to see this drop as it enables more people to experience something extraordinary. Furthermore, in case you read this Dr. John, I highly appreciate that you take time off your schedule to tend to queries even here. It is a good feeling to have a person, the creator of his own art, staying true to himself even after this success. Hats off to you. Brought a pair of 10U for long term demoing to decide whether I wish to go custom, I would like to ask if there is a possibility to also have the Encore as drop. Having the 10U leaves me with mixed feelings. The cable is rather unsatisfactory as it is comfy but does not stay in place behind my ears, the tips are of rather insufficient quality and either do not seal or slide out after a while. Final Type E tips, which are not easy to get in Germany, have been suggested and will try to get them alongside with Comply t500 tips. For now I am using Shure black olives with their core removed and that is ok, just not great. I think many would agree that they rather pay a little extra for higher quality. Sound-wise I am impressed by how unimpressive they sound. Very silky, a tad warm, lush, intimate sound with slightly recessed treble. Depending on what is being played I can't help but appreciate, sometimes I up the volume without knowing due to its smooth and effortless display. As there are plenty reviews out there, I'd try to use an analogy. These K10 give a feeling of being in a cosy, sophisticated, slightly damp living room with windows closed. All of that sensation, it is right there without being overwhelming in its subtleness , multi-layered and expressed as an organic whole. Sometimes, however, K10 may also sound muffed. You wish to open the window, to let some fresh air enter the room. To have a little more sparkle, to experience everything with a bit more space, more air to breathe. You'd be a little less cozy but more clear headed. Overall, you might feel better. This sensation is where I wonder whether the K10 couldn't be improved and where my interest for the Encore sparks and where a drop version of those would come handy. Greetings from Germany
