albert_gsgTry tip rolling, included tips are junk, I end up choosing SpinFit CP500, other people may have diff preferences, but many choices are much better than the included tips.
albert_gsgThe shape requires “special” tips for smaller ear canals and probably just aren’t well for small ears. There should be a large disclaimer given the cost.. also, one could start with the much more affordable Nobel X for Nobel U-Sizing.
For my smaller ear canals, the Spinfit CP240 double-flange work well to hold the IEMs and change the sound from “meh” to AMAZING. Nobel would be smart to include some good double and triple flanges in the box.
PaulNSThank you all for the advice. I will try Spinfit tips and see what happens.
Personally, I am used to using the default tips and have no issue with all my other IEMs, and even the big audeze lcdi4 could stay in my ears comfortably. for a $900 IEM, I expect a good quality level, and Kaiser failed. Another #900 IEM on mass drop, the MASSDROP X EMPIRE EARS ZEUS UNIVERSAL IEMS, is way much butter than Kaiser. the Zeus is light weighted, very easy to drive, great sound, and large sound stage, and beats Kaiser in every way in my opinion.
last, for the $900 price range IEMs I own, my preference:
Mass Zeus> se846, w80, xelento(same leve)>>Kaiser
PS: se846 and xelento got plus because of new shure bt2 wireless cable/sony m2bt1(used with Sony player)
albert_gsgOh, I’m not saying it’s a great situation by any means (I won’t buy any more Nobel Universal fit). Just hoping to maybe reduce the sting a bit..
albert_gsgAhh, I've requested the Zeus .. although I'm technically over by budget for the year D:
For mobile BT the simple ES100 seems OK for such a small unit (and intersection of AAC+2.5mm). I like the traditional cables .. just not attached to my phone.
PaulNSdefinitely get Zeus, it totally worth the price.
I have es100 and like its performance, but don't use is much because of the buttons are too small, even smaller than the shure bt2, so that I had a hard time operating es100 blindly. in addition, I use sony more and my cables are more geared towards 4.4 rather than 2.5.
BTW, it is almost impossible to attach cable to phones now, since apple started to kill 3.5 and many other phone makers followed, expect Samsung. As a matter of fact, that is one of the few reasons that I still buy Samsung phones.
albert_gsgSorry you didn't like the k10u. I think you needed to let them break in or did not try to get better tips. With the price discount it seems they went cheap with the accessories. With the right tips and break in time they are amazing. I hope you have not given up on them and are able to improve the rating.
