Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. If you can barely afford it, don't get it.
If you already have something and are questioning whether to get it, see if you can afford it. If you can, know that these are the most affordable Noble IEMs we're (probably) ever going to see.
The general consensus regarding sound signature is something dark with prominent bass, slightly recessed mids, and a treble drop off. Most people buying these probably don't have enough experience to know what this means sadly.
Just know that for entry level "audiophile" gear, you can't go wrong (unless you hate bass and/or warmth). Also they look cool but your aesthetic may vary.
Edit: Also what's better to some people may not be better for you. This is highly dependent on INDIVIDUAL preferences.
For example, if you're a basshead, it doesn't matter how expensive the balanced earphone you have is because it likely won't have the quantity of bass you're craving.
