I was actually looking for this answer myself. As far as I can tell, it needs a .77 mm 2 pin headphone connector, but a .78 mm apparently will work as well, although a lot of cables don't appear to have the same shroud as the ones that come with these headphones.
I use the EDC at the gym. I have run on the treadmill, used cross-training machines, and used the Concept 2 rower. I perspire a lot, and the EDC and EDC3 have never let me down. Excellent choice, and they block out annoying gym noise well, too.
I use these for workouts also, they’re pretty good. What I don’t like is that none of the other sizes of supplied silicone tips fit on the EDC, really dumb.
