I'm bekng honest here, I bought these IEMs as a replacement for $30 EarPods, which I have been buying for 3 years now, because I was tired of clwaning earwax out of them and watching them break. I had high hopes that these would SOUND good.
Initially, I didn't like the sound, but after about a week, I adjusted to it. Fast forward a week later, and the left earbud goes missing after I did yard work. I still have no idea how this happened, although I'm thinking that I pulled them out of my ears and the connection came apart. These earbuds are sensitive to any tugging. I must have them put it in my pocket in a ball, not realizing that it came off.
While I was upset, as this was my personal birthday gift, I was optimistic that I could get a replacement, even if it meant I had to pay. This is not possible due to the Massdrop model, unfortunately. Now I have been listening to podcasts and music with only one earbud, as $60 does not come easy to me. I am questioning whether I should by another pair of earbuds from Massdrop, let alone products that require spare parts.

I contacted Massdrop about a pair of ear tips and since they couldn’t replace the ear tips individually they offered to replace the entire set (meaning new earbuds and ear tips for just trying to get new ear tips), a 20% refund while keeping my earbuds and ear tips, or refund everything. Try contacting them by email; from my experience they have amazing customer support. Absolutely amazing.

It was Massdrop Community Support that replied to me, although I did email Optoma, which manufactures the IEMs, and I never got a response back. Massdrop said they are unable to furnish spare parts or replacements, because everything comes in exact batches (how you were able to get replacement tips, I don't know). That makes sense, although it's been almost a month since I emailed Optoma and have not received a response.

They said they had some in stock and were able to offer a brand new pair of earbuds in return of my old ones. My old ones are fine just some of the eartips are damaged. Maybe I just got lucky?
