It's really nothing special, on the contrary, sound wise pretty disappointing. A muddy boomy sound with ringing treble, not sure what all the hype is about, but this one sounds really sub-par for the given price. There is a lack of response in the upper mids while upper bass is way too pronounced completely masking the mids. Treble peaks out at about 11khz which gives it a grainy character and very little response above that. Not sure what the "HighRes Audio" badge should mean, because this IEM is too muddy and lacking detail to be able to tell a difference between a bad MP3 and a FLAC file. You can get much better sounding in-ears for below half. I wouldn't recommend it, although build quality and included accessories (2nd cable, carrying pouch etc) are definitely nice. But in the end it all comes down to sound which simply is not there.

oluvHi I'm currently using the ECD's, but they're not a great fit for my ears.. Would you name some of those cheaper, better sounding alternatives? :)

Somruneyou can check my Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/clavinetjunkie but is is not easy to recommend something really decent that would satisfy everyone. Problem is that even a 6$ Sony MH750 sounds better than this EDC. I don't know what your sound preference is, rather neutral or something bassboosted? I would recommend the Moondrop Aria or even the cheaper Moondrop Crescent, of course the Sony MH1 as a start, although that is an old one and the proprietary connector can cause problems with some sources, it works fine with an iphone though. Also nice is the Final Audio E3000 and probably the higher end models too, I have only heard the E2000 and E3000 and the E3000 is a bit too warm, although smooth sounding, the E2000 sounds off. The Tin Audio T2 is also not that bad, but a bit too treble heavy, I would stay away from the T2 pro though. If the T2 is too light on bass for you, you can try closing the vent.
