I'm struggling to understand the hype over these. I've had a pair for about a month and spent maybe 20 hours actively listening to them. I've tried a couple solid sources and they are just weird. They sound atrocious with a few tracks and genres but handle others fairly well overall though rarely shining. Imaging is all over the place feeling very narrow with a few specific sounds placed far outside that narrow band. Their general tone could be described as dark or muddy. In general nuforce is a hit or miss brand for me, I do regret buying these overall however they get at least two stars for solid build quality, nice carrying case, and great cables.
