How do these compare to the Vsonic GR07 (Mk2 Classic)? I have a pair that may be on its last legs and thinking whether these would be a better upgrade than rebuying the newer GR07 release.
Im especially interested in build quality and neutral sound compared to them.

HawkeI'm pretty late seeing this but I have the original EDC and GR07 Mkii! No surprise -- the GR07 is clearly the winner. The EDC doesn't sound bad or anything, though. I'd be happy if they were my only pair available. That being said, I also like the sound of my $30 ZS6 better than the EDC, but I love the comfort of the EDC and consider them an excellent travel pair so much so that I bought in for the EDC3 for that reason alone. I'm pretty excited for what is essentially going to be a better sounding EDC, but I still expect the GR07 to win out sonically.

frivoflava29In my research I found EDC3 only shares the housing with the EDC, otherwise the sound signature is warm neutral, like the GR07. Also its triple balanced armature compared to single driver EDC. Im thinking of getting one as a GR07 alternative and see. Hows the build quality on Nuforce? Ive had two pairs of vsonic and both had the glue dry out and split the housing, so I hope for better build in these.

HawkeI've owned many pairs of GR07s in at least three editions over the years and yes, the build quality is by far its biggest flaw and frankly embarrassingly bad. I haven't owned the EDC for long enough to truly comment on durability, but the build seems a lot better than the GR07. Detachable cables are a huge plus, although the latest editions of the GR07 all have detachable cables as an option as far as I can remember.
