I bought the original EDC's as my first true IEM's, and even though they were only $60, they Straight blew my $150 Monster iSport Victory earbuds out of the water! And compared to my even older $40 Skullcandy earbuds, well, there's simply no comparison between the two IMO 😎👍 The EDC's sound much more balanced overall, and the fit and isolation with my Comply foam tips is bar none! Just a great sounding beginner pair of IEM's!
So I'm SURE that the EDC3's even blow the original EDC's out of the water! I'd definitely grab them for $100/pair, and I'll most definitely be grabbing a pair too since I LOVE the sound and comfort of my Primo 8 and EDC IEM's, which both use the same casing/shell as the EDC3's, and are the absolute most comfortable IEM's I've EVER put into my ears!

I haven't really done a comp with the FiiO HP Amp and without since I recently got the Primo 8, but I do think that they sound great through both of those sources!
That said, my Sony Walkman can easily push/power the Primo 8 by itself, and I don't plan on using the FiiO HP Amp unless I'm using my Nuforce EDC IEM's, since they have a low sensitivity of 90db, compared to the Primo 8's sensitivity of 118db.
I haven't listened to them yet at all with my Google Pixel 1 phone, but I'll try this weekend to compare all 3 sources and see which I prefer! I'm EXTREMELY happy with the Sony Walkman>Primo 8 sound though so I honestly probably won't be using anything but the Walkman with them since it has all of my 24bit FLAC Recordings on it already, and I'd just be listening to mp3's with my Google Pixel 1 phone!
