Not happy with my EDC3. It seems I may have a defective set... the sound is horribly high pitched and screechy. I’ve tried both the different cables. Surprised that a balanced cable didnt come with these instead of the ONE BUTTON remote. I believe these to be a defective set. Honestly disappointed. Happier with my cheapo set of beats tour tbh. I have listened to then on a fiio q5 and a CEntrance bluedac and the sound is just as bad on one device as it is the another. so far there’s about 65 hrs on them and with burn in time there has been no improvement. Used different ear tips that were supplied but one did not improve upon the next but the goalies are A tad more bassY. Can someone help me out here please and thanks.

A bit hard to follow but I cannot say for sure whether the pair you have is defect. If you want we can swap even if just in case but please do note that the EDC3s have a very neutral sound. If you are used to warmer and bass heavy IEMs then the EDC3 can sound "high pitched". You could try the mic cable and see if that helps. If you can let me know if that makes a difference at least it would give me an idea of what you're hearing.
For the button - these are designed to be every day carry IEMs. Balanced cable wouldn't quite fit that purpose in our opinion.
I´ll do my best to help you.

For everyday carry, a balanced cable would be no different than a regular cable. Our phones don’t have 3.5mm out anymore so I use Bluetooth devices to get the audio to my iems. I’d like a balanced cable. The mic cable doesn’t work right. And it sounds way worse than this one.

I appreciate the feedback. From our perspective - several phones still have headphone outputs (for example Samsung who is one of the market leaders in the USA) and if not 3.5mm then with an adapter. I will take your comment about balanced cable into consideration and see if there is something we can do in future.
