The worst crap I ever purchased from massdrop. This is the only piss-take I’ve ever posted. These are simply unmusical. The first pair I bought had Bluetooth issues, I surmised. Music on these is unlistenable. Impossible. Ok then.

swrossSorry to hear. This certainly doesn't sound right. Can you clarify a bit? What were the Bluetooth issues and why the music is unlistenable? Too much bass? Not enough bass? Too bright, too dark? Can it be that fit is not good enough which lets the sound leak which then results to weak sound? Let me know and I'd be glad to help. JyriBluetooth fine, and fit is perfect w the buds that came on it. Even isolation is good. THE PROBLEM IS AUDIO. Ok for a phone conversation, although very bright, but beyond the range for voice. Unlistenable for music. Way too bright, brittle, strident for any type of music. Almost painful. Low end is non existent, even mids. Seems like the design was finished before testing, and went out before being checked. I have an older set from same company that are ok. I tried a few times thinking it’s me. I listen on an iPhone and iPad Pro with FLAT. I tried the EQ, but nothing is remotely listenable. Maybe I got a lemon? These are going in the garbage. I’d return them if possible. Does this help?

JyriJeri- I have more specific info. I did try all the earbuds, and each does change the bass response in some ways. I’m ok to keep them, and regret if my words were disrespectful. Here’s my overall take, compared with an earlier model BE6i, I got here on MassDrop. The older ones have always had Bluetooth connectivity issues (beeping) when initially connected w my iPhone. This went away. They became my go to IEMs for years work and exercise. The Strides fit much better and have better much better isolation. Also no issues with the BT connection in the early hook up stage, although there are momentary signal cut outs that do not happen with other Bluetooth phones or pods, AirPods or Sony NC headphones and more... I’m an addict. For me, the AirPods are used as work, play, phone but never when isolation is a priority. Headphones are bulky but sound beautiful and neutral. So his brings me to my criticism of the audio— it’s the “tilt” of frequencies. The lack of bass doesn’t bother me as much as the emphasis in mids, particularly in the upper mids. It’s “crispy,” and overly bright. At first I thought it sounded scooped but realized there was a lack of LF. I guess I like neutral, which comes at a price. So, for me, the physical design, the fit, build quality isolation for non-NC pods, is excellent. If you guys went for “bright,” then you succeeded. They’re worth the money, and I’d probably try your next release. I’m fussy and would always use wired if serious listening B+W, Sennheiser 6xx, etc. and obviously in the studio. I get that these aren’t a reference— Thanks for caring!
