Any pictures of what a Planck w/ the Add-Ons kits installed looks like? There are no pictures of where the rotary knob goes on the keyboard for example...
Hi everyone,
We are aware that members who purchased the Mod case instead received a regular case. We made an order processing error that resulted in the production of the wrong cases. We’re sorry about the error and that we did not catch it sooner.
We will be working with our vendor to produce and ship the correct units out to those who are affected. We will provide another update when we have more details as to what that timeline will look like. You may keep the regular case that you have already received. Again, our apologies for the mixup and appreciate your patience while we get this resolved.
Hey everyone, here is the promised companion drop for the Planck V6. If you want to explore additional extensions / components. This is the place for it!
Also, we are offering anodized aluminum plates for those that want an uniform look for the Planck.
Please note all the cases / plates in this drop will only be compatible with Planck Rev6 and specifically the Hi-Pro / Mid-Pro parts.
I'm not 100% certain but from what I can tell the base price (the cheapest possible option) is $10. You only get whatever option you select and that thing costs $10 + whatever price is listed next to it. So the case is really $45.
equaluniquePurple hi-pro mod was not a mod and no mounting hardware. Very disappointing, but I guess that's what happens when a company decides "drop" is more akin to what they do.
Haha that person on reddit is me...
What upsets me more than not getting the mod case is that MD had my money for 6 months and did not fulfill the order correctly, nor will they correct the error. I wrote an email to CS complaining about this ethically dubious business model, and I encourage anyone else in this situation to do the same.
massdrop, please update the image for the acrylic case. It is a terrible render. Just 10 more minutes would have made it more acceptable. It looks like trash.
This looks like a very interesting drop. However, I seem to have a few questions:
Firstly, I imagine that this drop is designed as a compliment to the currently running Plank Rev 6 drop which I have entered.
If I purchase this kit, am I able to replace my hi-pro purple case for a hi pro purple mod case?
Also. is there more information on this utility kit? Can I easily program the dip switches?
Can this rotary encoder also function as a button? 40% is already a squeeze for switches as it is.
Are there any picks on the RGB strips? Where do they go on the keeb?
I don't feel like there is an adequate amount of information on this. Am I missing something here??
ZacipultAs an answer (hopefully) to your first question, I have this.
I did some digging, and it looks like you can change any active order before the drop ends. However, when I went to do this, MD told me that I needed to just cancel my old order and re-join the drop. So, I did just that. I cancelled my first join, and re-joined, omitting the case and plate, as I was going to replace those with ones available in this drop.
Then I joined this drop and selected those options. In my transactions page, it looks like everything is as it should be. Old order is cancelled, new ones are in the active page, and all the options are as they should be.
I also submitted a request for support, so hopefully they don't tell me anything different.
Hope this helps at least answer one of your questions.
Ok thanks. Should I be worried about this paragraph: "These cases are only compatible with Hi-Pro plates - the plate is optional in these builds, but is recommended for switches without PCB nibs (Matias, some MX switches).
"? Will it be compatible with the plates in this drop(the painted ones)?
