So far this jacket has been a real winner for me. I use this jacket while climbing mostly and it has proven to be a great piece of kit thus far.
Pros - - water rolls right off it. - it moves / stretches with my body while I am climbing - hood fits over a helmet perfectly
Cons - - The sleeves are a little long for me when just standing around, that being said, when climbing they don't ride up on my arms due to the extra length.
To address the other comment on this jacket not having pockets down low. I would not have bought this jacket if it did have low pockets, when climbing the harness runs across where pockets / zippers would be, rendering them useless and potentially digging into your waist.
Here is a recent photo from a trip where it was used.

freeframedHello! I´m very interested in your comment as the main reason I haven´t bought this jacket is the "under helmet" hood. I will use it for bikepacking, so not the same helmet that you use, but if you say that the hood is usable over a helmet... maybe I can try it. Can you comment a bit more about this? Thank you. Pablo

pauleskoHey Pablo, I actually didn't know it was an under helmet hood at all! I have used it over my climbing helmet (pictured) many times and it works great. There is a bit of bill on the hood to give the edge of it structure and sewn a few inches back is a elastic band type of thing. For me this works our perfect as the elastic fits snug over the front edge of my helmet, ensuring the hood stays in place and the bill is propped out to get rain off my face. Not sure how your bike helmet would stack up but I hope this helps. All the best, Chris

rustybuffaloSorry for the late reply! I don´t get in here that much. Sadly I have to say that this hood wont work ok over a bike helmet, at least if you get your size right (if you oversize you may be able to use it. The reason is that mtb helmets are way bigger than climbing helmets, the main problem is that they are onger, and the hood wont cover all of the helmet, and will eventually fall down. I´m talkin about S size jacket and a POC enduro helmet size M. On the bright side I have to say that the jacket is inmensely comfortable and breathable. For me this works better than Gore tex Active, and I main better with no doubts, it´s not perfect, but it will "breath" enough to let you work hard without being uncomfortable. Be also aware that Rab has presented a new jacket with this same membrane compatible with helmets and more gadgets (more weight also) that will be on sale on spring 2019, so maybe you want to wait a little https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WcCBUAZxKAY

pauleskoYes, it doesn't fit anywhere over my bicycle helmet, but it works, at least for me, really well when biking, under the helmet. I just have to readjust the helmet a tat.

freeframedI know this is an old thread, but i just used mine under my old Giro 9 snowboard helmet last night, while Fat tire biking in the snow, and the hood was amazing. My helmet has padded earpieces that over time have come loose from the helmet, but are still held in place by the strap. What usually happens though is wind will find a way to tunnel into my ears, but not with the hood! I always run colder than my buddies so I had handwarmers in my gloves and my toes were icecubes, but my ears felt like I had handwarmers on them (which sometimes I will do, just tuck them up in my beanie). I guess I did get sweaty, my layers were a light merino base, light synth-down northface, and the Rab jacket, but its hard to stay totally dry when biking below freezing, because your energy output varies so much, and you dont want to adjust your gear constantly. I guess my only gripe about the jacket is the zipper is on the left, that is the sole reason I came back here to see if anyone commented on that. I ordered a mens jacket, but the zipper is on the wrong side, like a womens jacket. It bugs me a little, but it doesnt actually affect the performance, so I guess I'll get over it. I just wondered if anyone else noticed that?
