I thought GMK Sublegends like Cyrillic for example were pad printed. Did they get new molds for doubleshots sublegends? Sorry for asking, just want to make sure. If this is true then I’m going to have to buy more alphas Sets. This Set is just great!

RedSunsHave you got the colour chips from GMK for these colours? Not sure if it's my screen, or if the Brown Sugar (lol) is very close to the Cabernet in luminance; if so, it'll be rather hard to read as they both have a lot of red in them. Sending this from a phone, my colour balance is atrocious, so if I'm talking out my arse... apologies in advance.

consolationI'm not sure when I am suppose to get them, but they know I want the samples as well. I think we need to hit MOQs to be sure. We are hoping the renders as well as the given pantone colors will give you a general idea of what you are buying. The legends are not meant to be super bright or luminescent, but more readable than the legends you would see on an HHKB, for example.

RedSunsI'm in regardless, but, if you have a proper press / print shop near you, they will have colour samples. While it will be different for plastics, it should give you a good idea what the actual colours are. To my eye the colour is lot darker and browner than the renders, maybe a colour with a little bit less green and saturation would work better? Please bear in mind that I'm looking through a device that is far from full RGB spectrum (and not calibrated. ) Hopefully you'll get a bunch of different chips, before they make you commit; so I thought I'd put my oar in. ;-)

OldCatThe chips were actually sent to GMK to color match so I no longer have them with me. This would mean the colors are as accurate to the chips as they could get it and I did not see much difference between them when I got them. The main difference would be the plastic or texture of the chips and keycaps.

The GMK Red Samurai is finally here!
For now, let me explain the name change for the alphas. Nishi (Latin w/ Hiragana) means "west" and Pure Hiragana (Hiragana monolegends) is basically gamers talk, for example, pure STR or pure LUK builds.

These are the custom color selections:

We'll be working with GMK to get the right colors, so it may change if needed once we get color samples.

I am trying to match the colors on renders from my [IC] and this is what I have so far. Unfortunately, I don't have actual samples for you, but I do have these Pantone chips that I am currently inspecting myself. Pictures were taken with a phone, so it won't have great color accuracy, but I think it will do fine.
1) Under natural sunlight in a room with shade:
2) This is what color you would see without much lighting:
3) Under direct sunlight:
4) Under a white LED lamp at night, it looks fine to me:
So whether you wanted a dark set or a lighter set, it looks like you just have to light it properly, but remember you would see something similar to image #2 without light. If anything, I might go one shade lighter on the red. Now I still won't know for sure without actual keycap samples so the colors can still change, but I hope this helps for the last few days of the drop.
