AEB-L with nitrogen and vanadium. It's a really nice steel to sharpen, feels like a carbon steel on the stone.

I cant get this damn thing perfectly centered. Not too mention the action is shit unless I loosen pivot to the point of which it has blade play. I've been sitting here for over an hour messing with it. Amy pointers or should I just throw it out the window?

Lol!!! Good luck with that!!! Got mine a couple weeks ago and i have spent hours trying to center it. I think the liners are misaligned. Also, for me to get good action i had to loosen pivot. There is ever so slight blade play only when you pull back on axis lock. Very disappointed with a $100 knife that is this bad. I have a $20 Ganzo that puts this knife to shame with quality.

My first one had terrible action out of the box. It was almost impossible to open one handed. I loosened the pivot which made it just a little bit easier to open (possible to do one handed). I looked at the pivot while opening and noticed that the entire pivot screw was turning instead of the blade turning on the pivot. I contacted Drop and Millet. Drop is replacing it (waiting on the replacement now). Millet has never responded.

Mine came in excellent condition... The Perpetua blade has very little clearance left to right between the scales. Is the blade rubbing? There cant be .5mm room for error side to side. If you are handy with tuning up a knife you might try polishing the washers. I use a Spyderco ultrafine ceramic stone and strop with .1micron diamond paste to clean up the washers. Generally this gets the action dialed in. The ApostleP knife channel on YouTube offers knife sharpening and "spa" treatment. The knife would come back as perfect as it can be. Sorry to hear you are having difficulty. Let me know if I can help.

Mine was perfect out of the box. Did you contact Drop or the manufacturer?

Trojanman79Thats like asking me if I get pedicures or where do I go to get my oil changed. The answer will always be, Why would I ? I've never had a problem centering knives in the past. I enjoy working with my hands and I spend most of workdays fixing engineering errors and or completely re-engineering other errors. SO, NO! I didn't contact the manufacturer. I'm busy. Did you, what did they say?

MadManionMine was fine out of the box. Loosen the handle scales and the pivot screw. Fold a piece of paper to the appropriate size and wedge it between the blade and handle scales. Once aligned...tighten the pivot & handle scales. Think there is a YouTube vid in how to do this method. Had to do this with a older Spyderco Manix 2.

Is it possible to get a new pocket clip for this knife?

Yes, there are some options. Millit has made milled titanium clips available on their social media outlets. They can also be reached by email. The clip uses standard two screw attachment so many clips such as from Kizer and Kershaw knives can be swapped in. I myself ended up using the clip from my Kershaw Barge since the Barge is for me a toolbox knife that doesn't really need a clip. The Barge is also really low in price so you could buy one just for the clip though that might be odd.

I use the Spyderco Triangle system (ceramic) plus leather strop and I find it very efficient with this steel.
