There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
And this isn't either of them! The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. The reason for that distinction is clear--Panda bears, only come in the first arrangement. Now at this point, everyone should be thinking about the most well-know Panda, The Rolex Panda, which is actually a Daytona, and among Rolex Daytonas, the most famous of which is the Paul Newman Daytona, which was famous first, because it was Paul's, and second because it sold at auction for $17.8 million (US Dollars). The story of that auction is well-known so I'll only...

Ergos are great with no real hot spots to mention. It sits in my medium size hands pretty naturally, my grip is set after opening with no readjustment needed. The texture of the G10 complements the ergos; not pocket-destroying rough but noticeably grippy.
The axis lock on this knife doesn't stick the same way my Benchmades did initially, which is a nice plus. Lockup is solid and confident. The omega springs look slightly thicker than Benchmade's as well, here's to hoping they last longer.
Now for cons...I'll start nit picky. The jimping on the knife is good but not great. I prefer a little more bite on my jimping. I also like wasabi on my pizza. Your opinion may vary.
Moving from nit picky to slightly annoying are the thumb studs. They are either too small, the handle too close, or the handle is too thick at the thumb stud location. Fixing any one of these three would eliminate the mild grievance I have with missing the thumb stud a couple times before I hit the sweet spot.
The biggest problem I have with this knife is, like others it seems...the pocket clip. It's very soft, only took a few times in and out of the pocket before it developed a gap. I could be wrong, but my feeling is that the batch of clips this one was in missed heat treat. Looks like the problem is being taken care of with Jonas on the case, so this will soon be a non-issue. In the meantime I'll be putting it through its paces as intended.
Thanks for also jumping in the discussions here, nice to see a designer actively searching for/responding to feedback. Looking forward to your future work!
