I was very skeptical about these headphones, but after we got news about changes to the tuning (more bass, etc.), I pulled the trigger... and I don't regret it one bit. This is a great bargain! The HD 58X sound really good and I'm almost tempted to say that they are better than the HD 6XX... I need more time with them to come to a solid conclusion, though. If you're on the fence about these, just buy them and you'll be happy you did. I wanted to give them 4.5 stars, but we don't have that option. The .5 star off is due to the mix of glossy and matte black... they should have done it all matte black.
