EDIT: Just finished the Speedball upgrade on my Bottlehead Crack. Holy $@?& these cans just went from from above average to another planet. Hyper-detailed, energetic yet slightly warm. Slightly recessed low-mid somewhere but DAMN this is a nice combo. Highly suggested.
At $150, it’s very hard to review these fairly - meaning that I simply know of no other headphone in this price range that can come close. We’re stuck comparing to headphones over 2x the price (unless you landed the 6XXs). That said, these are unbelievable for $150. I planned to make these my “portable” cans where I’m not stuck sitting in one spot at a desk. Mostly just for walking around the hous. I love that they are easier to drive at 150Ohms. I ended up buying an Ear studio ES100, a Bluetooth DAC/amp for $100 - which may be a better deal than these headphones. I also picked up 2.5mm balanced cable to get more power from the ES100. The sound is impressive while streaming. I do EQ them a bit to make for a more “fun“ sound. The upper bass and high end is immediately more present than HD650s and is all around more acutely articulate. Not clearer but “sharper.” They can really thump if you want them to - zero muddiness. The soundstage is not quite as wide to my ears. Everything seems to be “tighter” which I assume was the objective. There is still something I like more about the HD650s that I can’t figure out yet. Maybe because I sold them. It’s like these are missing The serene clarity that I loved from the HD650s but again I think This is me noticing the removal of the “veil.” I’m not as wowed as the first time I tried 650s but they are incredibly enjoyable considering the price. Overall, a fantastic headphone that i will use for a long time for fun

One day I just plugged in my Pc38x and they stopped working. I tested the mic and it works, I've tried changing the cord multiple times and have adjusted the volume disk, none of this has changed my situation. I've tested the headphones on my PC, switch, and PS5 and the audio doesn't work there either.

Hifiman x Dekoni Cobalt or Massdrop x Meze 99 Noir
Im looking to buy a set of closed back headphones under $200. So far the two main contenders are the Cobalt and Noir. Has anyone compared these two? which seems to be better? Both are around the same price. Ive heard the cobalt is lacking in bass, while thats not ideal im not too worried as I dont often listen to bassy music.

Xduoo Poke II repair
Hi friends, I recently had a mishap with my Xduoo Poke II, that is, it fell out of my hands and now it turns on but the command buttons now work sometimes and sometimes not. I have written several times to Xduoo directly because it was with them that I bought this Dac and to find out what I can do about it but after two months I have not received a response. I live in Mexico City but I would like to know if anyone knows of a technical service in the US that could repair my Poke II and know if it would be worth it for me taking into account the cost of repair and the issue of shipping, or if it is better to think about buying a new portable Dac. Refusal to take responsibility.
Hi, Just thought I would make a note here of your handling of my issues. I ordered a pair of HD6xx headphones and then earlier today recieved the package. I drive to go and get it, as I like in the UK I had to pay import tax and handling fees. These total £47.92. The breakdown being £35.92 in tax and £12 in fees. These taxes were calculated of the shipping label of the box, which marked the shipment as the 6xx headphones of $199 value. Before leaving the parcel depot, I open the box to find a $35 lord of the rings mousepad. So now the problem is not only do I not have the headphones, but you have marked the shipment wrong so I have paid £47.92 fees for the handling of the mousepad. Which would have acrued £0 of fees if marked correctly as it is under £135. I go back to the desk but as I have already paid the fees I am unable to reject the shipment, but as the box said 6xx, there was no way for me to know before opening it. I contact support and they offer me a replacement, which...
