Purchased for gaming and music primarily. I’ve used a wide variety of headphones for gaming and I ended up getting sold on sennheiser when I picked up the Sennheiser Game Zero gaming headset a few years back. Insane quality that to this day people still ask me what equipment I’m using when I use them. Distinctively better from what users and friends in game are telling me than other players. I’ve replaced the ear pads with ease and would recommend as an all in one setup to anyone not looking to invest so much. I have now really started to getting an ear for music quality and I figured I would look to Sennheiser. I tried getting HD700’s but they are discontinued and next up to bat in its price range would be the newer HD660s. After doing some research as a newbie I’ve found a lot of positive reviews to the Hd58x in comparison. One good review I seen was from Z Reviews on YouTube. I figured I would give them a shot and if I didn’t like I could always upgrade. After more reviews I quickly found that half the sound is what the headset is plugged into so I’ve opted In for the Schiit Asgard with their True Multibit DAC. I also really enjoyed the leather on the Game Zeros so I picked up a pair of Elite Sheepshkin Earpads from Dekoni Audio. Last I wanted to add a color signature along with solid build quility so I ordered a custom 600 series Dual 2 Pin Cable from Periapt Cables. I’ve had them for a few weeks now and I love them for competitive gaming and listening to music.
