Seeing lots of questions here about how these will sound, or how they compare to other 6-series Senns. All of this is extensively covered in the headfi discussion linked in the description. John Grandbrg/project 86's review is fantastic. Another very good review from Solderdude is worth a read https://diyaudioheaven.wordpress.com/headphones/measurements/brands-s-se/hd-58x-jubilee-massdrop/. From the reviews it seems this headphone has little in common with the 580 and much in common with the new and very overpriced 660s. At $150, it is a VERY good deal for an audiophile grade headphone especially when paired with an amp with a low output impedence (solid state or hybrid) amp. Anyway the reviews will tell you all you need to know.

Solderdude is really the reason I'm even getting this... he hype'd up the 660s as well but at the price they were asking I wasn't biting. $550 is a nasty market to be releasing something into that is in need of some additional tweaks,
Non the less, at $149 I can't ignore these... I'm only hoping once they finish this batch the price won't shoot above $200. So long as these stay under $200 I think Senn can really start to steal some thunder away from Beyer, especially since a DT 880 Pro is still hovering around the $175ish mark, the 880 pro is still hands down one of my favorite headphones under $200! While it like the HE 4XX benefits from an amp, it's not 100% required. I'm curious to see how this guy does unamp compared to it's competitors
