HD650/6XX > HD600 > HD580 > HD660 > HD58X
Best to worst.
But does "the worst" mean bad? Would these 58X be an upgrade over my HD598s?
Thanks for the awesomely objective & insightful review.
That's Uzuzu for ya.
Criticizing everything without personally participating in the drop or demo'ing a product.
(I know why you hide your items bought on Massdrop. I don't see the reason to. It's only like 6 items last time they were public Kazuzu.)
the hd660 is the beyerheiser
but really I think the amirons/1990s are better than the 660. The best qualities of the hd650 are in it's warmth.
And I guess you don’t even own or even tried any of these headphones before concluding on this matter... the great Uzuzu again! And contrary to your own past behaviour, I will remain polite, even though it would be very tempting not to.
Completely unfounded speculation on both of your parts as usual. I can't post an opinion without it being torn to shreds by fanboys every second. Also what behavior? I'm not the one going around picking on people I don't agree with, just posting ideas and opinions.
I really like Sennheiser but I think the 660 is a step backwards, take the goggles off.
In regard of 660s, I do kind of share the sentiment that 660s is a bit underwhelming when I tested it, coming from 600. Maybe I expected too much considering the price.
Have you listened to the HD660s and all the other headphones that you rank from best to worst? Have you been able to compare these headphones yourself? I won’t challenge and I will respect your opinion if it is based on your own appreciation of these headphones based on your own listening. So, have you had the chance to compare the headphones based on your own listening? For my part, I own the HD600 and the HD6xx, and I can say that I much prefer the warmth and the bass fullness of the HD6xx, but for the two other headphones I can only comment the graphs and reviews that were made available up to now. I will have the chance soon to listen to the HD660s at a local store.
Haha some people just like jump to conclusions.
I completely agree. Most are arriving at the consensus that it's way overpriced. But it's like how the 650 was 500 dollars back then and it's 200 new now, at least in the form of the 6XX, which is an amazing value for an awesome headphone. I don't feel it brings enough to the game to justify a 300 dollar price difference, and I feel it stays from Sennheiser's house sound in the 600 series.
It's still a good headphone but should deservedly be priced around 300 dollars. IMO. Gotta add that before I get chewed out, it's all IMO.
I will admit I'm speculating the 58x signature, because MD is literally saying it's quite similar to the 660. I will pass on it for that reason alone but I'll read what people have to say about it.
"HD650/6XX > HD600 > HD580 > HD660 > HD58X
Best to worst."
Hard to believe in such statement as more than BS, unless you provide a detailed listening report based on several reference setups.
Hardly possible unless you have been one of the few actually hearing the 58x
Well if you read the conversation I said it was speculation, and all in my own opinion.
