Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. Everything in the 5 series, including my 598’s, is made in China. I can’t imagine the production facility there wouldnt be a viable option for the initial run of 5000 units, especially since the only way Massdrop has so far explained getting the cost down to $150 is the packaging (China production sure would go a long way).
What does 580 production have to do with the 58x? Nothing, so what is your point?
Massdrop has not confirmed anything. You’re making an assumption based on pre-production models. These same pre-production models are being sent to “reviewers” in hard cases similar to the 6xx. We know for a fact that we are not getting this type of packaging for the final production run. So I’m not taking anything about the preproduction model as final.
