This is unacceptable to this customer who made sure that they placed an order early. After I checked out it showed only seven had been ordered. But I guess that doesn’t mean anything to Massdrop.

We apologize for this mix up with the serial numbers that were sent out. I however would like to kindly note that the first 500 members who joined this drop were intended to receive serial numbers between 1-500 in no particular order of who joined the drop. This means that you do still have a chance to receive a double digit serial number but the odds of this have not changed with this recent development.
I would be happy to help with a return for refund if you receive headphones with a serial number higher than 500.

i opted out of the first first 500 serial number thing because they were running late. i dont see where it would make a difference in the sound
I agree but sound quality was not the point.
If serial numbers didn’t matter then Massdrop should stop including that in the listing
