HiHowAreYaI've had a few hours to try them out now. For the record, these are my first audiophile level headphones. I listened to Touch by Daft Punk and the Pretender by Foo Fighters as my first and second songs, respectively. I could hear so many details in Touch that I had previously missed. It sounds cheesy, but about a minute or so in, I realized that I was smiling. It really is an experience I find trouble describing. The (soundstage?) Sound didn't sound like it was playing very far away from my ears like I was lead to believe, but still outside of my head. As for the Pretender, the drums rang clear, the lyrics shone, and I can safely say I rocked out in the privacy of my own room. I didn't drive them with anything harder than my cellphone (lg G4), btw. I can't wait to see how they sound with a DAC and amp. It's safe to say these are the best headphones I've ever worn (with a possible exception to a 700$ ASUS ROG centurion headset, whose surround sound left me dreaming about it). I have no complaints.

IceFlavoredCreamThe HD6xx line has never been really wide/open sounding. However, better DAC/amplification can help, as can researching to find what amps make them sound more open.
