View Full Discussion I think they're quite nice for the price. I've had headphones that cost far more that sounded just as good. Certainly not the "best thing out there" but also very much worth what they cost. I'd suggest running them with something lower powered. It seems that they can get a bit loud (busy) with a proper amp. Then again, after more time using them with the amp (TEAC UD-301 -> Sansui AU-a707MR) the sound characteristics on the low end are actually just coming through more pronounced than with the DAC alone.
All of this stuff is extremely subjective. What may be great for someone may not be great for another person. Take it all as you will, but I'd say that it is "likely" that you won't be disappointed and neither will your wallet.
