I feel so mad at myself that I could have joined this drop while it was active but opted for the Hifiman HE4XX's instead..
Now this drop is closed and the HE4XX drop is open with apparently no limitation and quality control reviews of screws popping out left and right...
Either console or laugh at me , just being real.
I have a pair of the 58X's that I am looking to sell, I only wore them for 2 nights and they had to much clamp force for me to enjoy them. Let me know
Still in mint condition?
Who knows maybe they already accidentally scratched after you dropped them, no pun intended lol
:P, yeah I wore them for 2 nights and they were just making my jaw hurt :/ I really love and wish i could keep wearing them, Add me on Discord Cerai#0001
Don't regret the 4XXs. I've got a pair as well as the 58XJs, and they're both worthy cans. Slap a pair of real leather pads on the 4XXs like ZMF Oris and they melt onto your head as well.
The 58XJs are great, and I probably prefer them overall, but they can't hold a candle to the precision of the 4XX's sound.
As for build quality, I'm happy enough with both pairs. Fit and finish is nicer on the 4XX, but they do have a couple of quirks that the Sennheiser's don't.
Strictly speaking of sound, 58X vs HE4XX, which one?
Currently I'm very impressed by the 58X, I have the HD600/6XX and the Jubilee it's becoming my favorite, at least so far.
They're pretty different but the 4XX is more dynamic and a bit brighter. The 4XX has better imaging and speed as well. The 58X still sounds like a part of the 600 family albeit not as "veiled" and with greater speed. I personally prefer it's signature over the 6XX but slightly prefer the 4XX over both due to dynamics.
Hahahaha it’s back, so you have another chance of getting these.
The screws popping is annoying mine did that but it was literally a 2 minute fix so I don't think it's that big of a deal.
Which ZMF Oris are the best comfort side? Lambskin, perforated lambskin or suede?
The perforated lambskin is out of stock.
You're right, but I have the Phillips SHP9500 so I'm probably gonna pass lol
You just need a small hex key and you can screw it back on.
Unsure on which are most comfortable - I have the lambskin (non-perforated) and they are very comfortable, not too sweaty either. Much better than i.e. pleather on a closed can.
I would quite like to try the perforated lambskin for sound reasons (I prefer the original 4XX pads ever so slightly, but find them far less comfortable as my ear cartilage touches the driver with them).
