Deal of the Century from Z Review and I agree. At 150USD the HD58X uses the exact same driver as HD660s which cost 500USD as of now. The 58X is a steal at this price. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qE22dZ_jiyU&t=4s

Apparently some differences in the driver but it's like 98% there. Still an amazing buy. Get it before they change it.

I like Z but he said things before that i found out to be way out of proportion and i was disappointed before. People says it's a good deal but it is to its own. Still thinking about These vs 6xx, i might end up getting both but i'd hate to be disapointed Scared from harsh highs and lows + muddy mids. if that is not the case then ill get them, can anyone promise me i have nothing to fear with that about the 58x?

I have both the 6XX and the 58X and I would choose the 58X anytime except if I was an owner of a Tube Amp that required an high impedance headphone. The 58X is far from having harsh highs but I fund them pretty perfect (without taking out the foam). The 6XX instead I find them a little recessed and not enjoyable as the 58X. My 6XX is collecting dust since the 58X showed up and the only reason I am not selling it is because I am thinking to purchase a Tube Amp in the near future.

I own the Bravo Ocean tube amp, will the 58x sound good with it?

These are amazing value but I would also suggest 6xx as well. Got mine off Ebay with decent pads still for $185. Honestly, youre good until the $1,000 range with either of these

I see not value to own both the 6XX and the 58X. The 58X is the clear winner here as it can be driven from a mobile phone and portable devices without issues aswell as good AMPs. Also the 58X is more lively and exciting in overall tonality while the 6XX is dark and recessed. The 58X cost also less. Owning both and using only the 58X atm. If I don't purchase a Tube Amp probably I am going to sell the 6XX. If I keep it it will be only as reference and to show friends. I simply love much more the musicality of the stock 58X (without removing dumping pads).

I heared the 6XX sounds "higher resolution" comparied to the 58X, also they are probably different and mean for different median

Well for 185 58x was only 30 cheaper which is much plus if you have to wait months. Sound wise I feel the 6xx is much better and you can run it off a cell phone with really no issues. Not optimal but it's still just fine. You'd probably want and Amp with the 58x anyway especially for desktop use.

So I had the 600 then got the 58x (luckily didnt have to wait the months as they had some in stock) so they seemed to be a cross between the 600 and 660. some added bass the 600 didnt have, close to the same vocal clarity and less bright but still present treble and much increased soundstage to the 600 and all that for 1/3 of the price so it was a no brainer. then i got 6xx of ebay for 185. Bass seems a litte more present but not emphasized. good midrange clarity i would say on par if not slightly better than the 58x. treble present but not emphasized. i tend to be sensitive mainly to 7-8k spikes but also 2-3k with some and i never get that with the 6xx. soundstage is more full and natural. vocals are intimate and kinda wish they were pushed back just slightly but thats nit picking. in an A to B comparison the 58x seem too aggressive and almost shouty whereas the 6xx a little more laid back and natural. Also, im one of the few that didnt like 660s. i liked aspects of it but didnt like the overall presentation.
