I have to say that I'm shocked, just got my HD58X today......can they really be better than the HD600 or close? I also own the HD6XX, I don't like the 6XX. Much prefer the HD600. No Brainer here folks, the HD58X is a steal if you can get it for $150.There are aspects I really enjoy about the HD600 and the HD58X. They do sound different, but I really like both. I still like the HD600 just slightly better, they are so buttery smooth with the sound. The HD58X has a grittier sound to my ears if that makes sense. Actually I have a hard time deciding which set I like better. Glad I have both!! Picking up that extra bass and still having the treble in the HD58X is nice and easier to drive. (I haven't modded them) I wanted the 660s but wasn't will to pay what they wanted for them. My new go to Sennheiser for $150, insane! Get the HD58X if it hits Massdrop again. Can you really go wrong for that price......NO! They rock! I'll still call my HD600 king, but it's close.
