The first pair that I received had a build quality issue when the left ear cup was extended, then rotated and then rotated back, it would get stuck and start to "click" and started to strip the paint away.
The replacement process was very thoughtful, fast and has lead me with no fear of buying from massdrop again.
The replacement pair that I received had no issues (thankfully) and they sounded fantastic. I'm no audiophile so refer to other reviews for that haha.
My only concern is the build quality as it seems they could break very easily which is worrisome for something that is supposedly limited and won't be around forever to get a replacement for yourself.
I can see that's where the majority of the cost savings were from in comparison to the 660S.
Only other annoyance is I'm not used to have two cables on me and they get caught taking them off with one hand lol.
Overall if you can get a pair with no issues and look after them, you should be happy.
all exept the drivers should be the same for Sennheiser 6xx family, but individual parts are a bit expensive
The drivers are actually exactly the same, down to the model number. Z Reviews took his 58x and 660S apart and found that out.
