I was never motivated to replace the Audio-Technica M30s I've been using with my XPS 13. But in that it's almost completely non moble now (docked and connected to a dozen peripherals), and how the HD 58X were so well reviewed, I went with it. Got em, plugged them in, and was less than inspired. Tremendous lows, almost inaudible highs. So I looked at the laptop, judged it harshly, and got a Fulla 2. That was it. The HD 58Xs sound fantastic, are so much more comfortable than the M30s, and although I hadn't plan on buying new headphones, let alone add the DAC/Amp, I'm glad I did.
