I have had many headphones. Fidelio X2, Master & Dynamic MH40, V moda, some Sennheisers, etc. Ive had the 58X for 2 months now & these headphones let me down.
BUILD QUALITY: .......SO CHEAP. The plastic is thin and like that shinny cheap toy plastic. These r not at all built like real Sennheisers. The ear pads are pretty stiff, the velour isnt as nice as other velours, and the foam is not memory foam.
SOUND: The sound is nice (just ok really) but the stage is narrow especially when compared to my.other open backs. These r not fun headphones to consume media n games with. They are dry sounding. The bass is lacking. Had to EQ them to get any enjoyment out of them.
REFUND: Unfortunately there is now way to check these out in person for quality and to listen to them so we are stuck buying them relying on other reviews. Now I own a lesser pair of cheap looking headphones.
At least my phone can power them. Maybe I can just throw them in my bag for travel.....Wait.....they are openback. Man I regret these. Wish I could get a refund. This was my 1st mass drop too. Don't think I will try this again. Not worth the risk with no refund option.
Hey NOMNOM, i want to upgrade my headphones (ATH-500x), i was thinking about these or Fidelio X2. I mainly use them for casual pc gaming and some music. Wich one would you recommend? Thank you!
You pretty much summed up my feelings regarding this drop.
I will put them to use for you. I will trade you something for them that I have and don't use like a Fio e18 KunLin, or AKG 553 headphones, Phillips Fidelio X2's? And I have others!
I have the Fidelio X2's and I rather these for gaming due to the better imaging even thought the X2's are better than any gaming headphones I tried so far.
