DJATMassdrop is just killing it with their headphone collaborations overall - not just the Senns (though I agree with your sentiment!). If they make similar inroads in their other categories, I think we have to worry more about them becoming an Amazon company.

DJATI think its pretty great the pricepoint Sennheiser has taken the HD600's to these days, and now Massdrop has even taken that price down further.
I bought my first pair of HD600's about a decade ago for $400 after wanting them for almost a decade at that point. I remember the first time I ever auditioned them was back in about '97 or '98 when they first came out @ J&R. I remember them costing an UNHEARD OF (pardon the pun) at-the-time $650, but just that first listen had me coming back to try them again and again for several months, telling myself I would eventually own a pair. They just knocked your socks off with their beautiful sound.
Once I finally owned my own HD600's, I basically stopped listening to music with speakers. I would look at my rig and if not for home theater use, the whole thing seemed a waste. Because now, all I ever did was jack into my XA7ES's headphone jack, turn the volume to 7 or 8 and space out. These headphones were my first venture into reference cans. I can not overstate how much of a difference it made to my music collection. All of the sudden I had to re-listen to CD's I had listened to hundreds of times and hear them again for the first time. These cans changed the way I looked at music.
Then last year, when the HD6XX's came and I got to own a HD650 lineage set of cans. The differences are there, and I can't honestly say I really know which I like better yet. I'm having a hard time ruling out nostalgia/bias for a set of headphones that I will NEVER let go of (I've replaced some parts over the years on them, because things do wear out (cushions, cords, headband) but its totally worth it.
If you don't own a HD600-series, be it, HD600, HD650, HD660, or HD6XX... do yourself THE BIGGEST FAVOR, and get an HD6XX when you have a chance. You will enjoy your music anew.
Added bit of advice, if you want to listen to quality coming out of your mobile device, try the Creative Labs E5 and play FLACs to it. It's as good as the mobile world gets.

Should I exchange the PC38X for better headphones?
I bought the PC38X headphones FOR GAMING and they are great, but I have NO use for a Microphone since I don't do competitive gaming and I was wondering if there were better headphone options at a similar price without a headphone, where (presumably) more of the cost was put into making it sound better. I also find that my PC38X don't get quite as loud as I would like and I was wondering if a cheap amp like the iFi Go link would draw a little more volume out of my phones. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BN6MM822?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I went with the PC38X since it was considered the best bang for buck headphones. Looking for a gaming/content audio setup
Hello! I'm looking for recommendations on audio setups. I'd be planning on using it mostly for gaming. Preferably I'd like a pair of large closed back headphones since I have a big head and jaw. I'd also like to hear myself through my mic with mic monitoring. As far as budget goes, I don't really have one. But under 600$ would be nice. I can go higher if needed. The audio setup would be connected to a high performance PC. Thank you in advance for any recommendations!

$10 Drop Coupon Email not sent?
Trying to buy some gear off Drop for the first time. I was told I would receive an email with a welcome to drop $10 off promo. I never received that email. Drop was able to send me emails for my login token and email for Password update. But for some reason the $10 off coupon was never sent to me.

Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.
