Same as @eddiezr said, what is this about "After the first drop, the price will increase in future drops. The magnitude of the increase is unclear pending production of the HD58X". The price has remained the same. So this is BS. Massdrop playing with the words to bite people into buying. Really bad business practice. Not trusting MD again. I'll take my money elsewhere. And so should you, reading this...

ImBullseyeSo, because they did not adjust the price to make these a worse deal you should not purchase them? I agree that it's misleading that they would not communicate any changes to their original plan of pricing, since it's obvious that that statement was written very early during marketing, but it's not like that somehow turns the Jubilees into a bad deal. They've sold like candy because they're nice headphones, not because of much, if any, perceived deception. If anything they would be significantly less attractive if the price was raised. Only questioning your communicated advice, of course, where you spend your money is none of my business, really.

NeoTheLizardI did not mean to people who want them now not to purchase them. After all they are free to do what they please with their money. And the headphones are nice. I am saying that MD is not to be trusted with statements like this one. They are tricking the consumers by giving a fake sense of urgency when buying these headphones. Same as what they are doing with "available in a limited number or for a limited time" and months after you keep seeing products available. This practice should be punished, as the audiophile industry is already flooded enough by snake oil, hype and misleading claims. I hope someone at least thinks twice before buying some product due to that sense of fake urgency to get a "good deal before it runs out". Because here it ain't happening. And international consumers are in a tight spot with MD.

ImBullseyeYeah, it is pretty shitty. And there are still comments popping up from people every now and then who are legitimately confused about that and the perpetual countdowns.

erickongStill later than it should have been. And it still does not fix the issue with the "limited availability".. Let's see if they take steps into the good direction. As for the time being they are not recommended by me.
