No Bass, Very 'Open'
My initial impressions of these headphones weren't great. This is my first pair of open back headphones and they really just seemed to lack punch with almost no discernable bass. The clarity of the sound, as well as the imaging made me stick it out. I installed a system wide parametric equalizer starting with Oratory1990's EQ preset and played around till finally.. I'm now very happy with the sound. Another con I have is that the clamping force of the headband is very strong which hopefully with some stretching and time will lessen. I would never unplug and use these on any other setup due to their stock sound being far too light for me. Out of the box they seem tuned best for softer, vocal dominant music. All that said, if you can work your way around an equalizer they do have the ability to sound really great.

SquidJellyWhat are you powering these with? It sounds like you're not driving them sufficiently. These have a solid amount of mid and low bass, definitely more than neutral, and I wouldn't consider these headphones to be bass light in the slightest. As for the clamp, it will loosen up over time. It's one of the most comfortable sets I own.

SquidJellyI had these for a year and I'm like tearing my hair out what was wrong with these headphones... And one issue I have is choosing the right thing... And since you really can't test drive most stuff you buy on just well it might be good or suck... And everything feels lacking ... The bass and the sound overall sounds like it's a mile away... Do regular Senns have the same issues... And no not using a amp I plug direct into a Dell XPS Desktop. I figure it could handle it. All I want is a normal great sounding headphones but I'm not going to pay 500 bucks for headphones.
