One trick pony
First off, these are good for gaming.
But that’s it. The audio quality when listening to anything besides noisy atmospheric sound or your friend’s garbled voices through discord is pretty bad. It seems these were designed strictly for games and nothing else as any audio with wide range dynamics gets washed out as the quiet end gets bumped up and the loud frequencies are quieted down (compared to other dedicated headphones at this price).
You need to have a PC which has both audio-out and mic-in jacks to use these out of the box as the cable is split at the end. Seeing as all the audio is travelling through one pin at the headphone end, this seems like it’s simply the result of poor design and you will need to pay for a roughly $10 adapter (plus more waiting for it to ship) to play on console or most laptops. Adding that on top of the already high $15 shipping fees, the price suddenly becomes comparable to that of headsets which also support Bluetooth with similar audio quality.
Overall, these are probably worth the price if you just want a cheap headset dedicated to PC gaming. However, If you’re looking for a headset with multifunctionality for cheap, then look elsewhere.
Would not recommend to a friend.
Get a Fulla 3 DAC/AMP .. Problem solved.
