Got my unit yesterday so I gave it a couple of hours gaming just to get the feel. I am coming from the PC350 SE and there's definitely big differences. I actually should have read the description all the way through but since I was in a hurry to replace my PC350 SE and it's disintegrating leatherette muffs, I decided to take a jump on these anyways.
First off, these Massdrop exclusive are not leatherette, which is totally fine. But the foam on them are so darn STIFF. To the point where it's uncomfortable after a short time. They're also open back, which means you hear everyone around you and they are not noise cancelling. Sound quality is great, except at high levels, the bass gets very distorted. I do like the fact that cord is detachable. But that's about it. In terms of replacing my PC350SE, I'm pretty disappointed in these so far.

this headset is identical to the game one, which are open back and foam earpads. the game zero is leatherette and closed. guess you made your decision to get these without taking enough time to check all the details.

What I was looking for was typically the same style, and since it's open back and velvet, I did take that into account. But the sound quality is inferior to the PC350SE, and it's just not comfortable. I'm hoping that it at least softens up after using it for a while.

Isn't sound quality and comfort what you're supposed to look for in a headset?
