It has been over a year, and I use these headphones every day, but not for gaming. I use them in an office environment. Love the fold-up microphone boom and how it automatically mutes when not in use. I bought adapters for my computer and also for my Cisco IP Phone. Voice quality is excellent and they sound great. Headphones are also comfortable.

SparqxHi, can you link to me what you bought for adapters? Been also wanting to use this for the office.

RokushiroThe trick is to reduce from 2 plugs to one plug. Here is the adapter I bought for my Cisco IP Phone: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0196G8OU6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Note, however, that this adapter has green and blue female connectors. I plug the greens together, and that leaves the blue one to connect to the red from the headset. Not a big thing, but important to note the color difference. There may be adapters that are the correct colors.
I can't give a link to the adapter I bought for my computer because it now incorrectly shows a different product on my orders page from a year ago, probably because the vendor re-used the product ID for something else. What is important is that it is a gaming headset adapter with four contacts (i.e., the tip plus three rings) on the single plug that goes to the laptop. That is for the stereo headset plus a microphone connection. The one I have has female connectors colored red and green on one end of the adapter that I simply plug the red and green plugs into, and that reduces it to a single plug that works perfectly on my HP computer.

SparqxAre they wireless? If not is that a problem?

MatthewM1The 10 ft cord doesn’t tangle and is excellent quality. It hasn’t been a problem for me. If a person is constantly up and walking around their office, it could be an annoyance for some. I like wired because there are no delays introduced into the sound chain for multimedia. Also, it keeps the sound quality as good as it’s going to be.

SparqxHello. Is the output a regular audio jack you could plug into a regular phone or playstation 4 comtroller or is it not usable in that aspect?

AustinComNo you will have to buy an adapter the sennheiser one is a bit pricey but you will find alternatives online. These are pc gaming headsets. Thus you have two endpoints. That's fine for my pc gaming but I use the Kingston 2pack 3.5 combo audio for my xbox and playstation

AustinComif you don't want to use the mic, then yes, you can just plug in the end for sound into your phone and/or ps4 controller. if you want to also use the mic, you need to get an adapter, like the other responder said.

AustinComI use my headset on my phone to listen to music some times. I just plug in the headphones jack and let the the mic cable hang over.

SparqxThinking about getting these as a spare pair. Not sure if you would know, but based on the model, I would think they would be a stereo version of the PC373D?

Destado1Yep, that's correct. They are also matte black and have no processing on the mic, so they sound a lot better mic wise.

AziWazziAlthough I have not been monitoring this thread in awhile, I recently plugged the PC37X gaming headset into a new Macbook Pro using the PC gaming 2 female to 1 male TRRS adapter, and really enjoy the quality of the stereo headphones and microphone. Thank you everyone who has posted, and I hope this thread has answered questions for you. I truly love the quality of these Sennheiser headphones for everyday use.

KGBCI simply unplugged from the computer adapter and plugged into the phone adapter when needed. There could be more elegant solutions to not having to do this, but I didn’t search for them.

Matatanxx Although I don’t I have a PS4 right now, I did a quick check on YouTube and found out that with the same computer adapter discussed above, one can plug the TRRS plug directly into a PS4 hand controller and configure the system to use it as a gaming headset that way.

SparqxI contacted Sennheiser, told them I wanted to buy the USB DAC, and they sent me a USB adapter for this model free. Works flawlessly with my office IP phone.

SleeperninjaWhat kind of a USB adapter they sent? Looking for something like that.

DoorisOpenFrom what I can tell, it’s a USB dongle designed to be packaged with the headset and not sold. I’m pretty sure I used eMail or chat support to let them know I was using it as an office headset, and they shipped it right out. Works great with my computers, as well.

SleeperninjaIt was a pigtail to USB that was made for this headset, according to the rep. Not certain why something like this would be omitted.

SleeperninjaThat’s great information. The old Cisco IP phone I was using at the time just had an additional 4 wire RJ-11 phone input jack for a headset. But it makes perfect sense that IP phones have migrated to USB, and it is kind of Sennheiser customer support to provide an adapter on request. I love that company.
