I've had these for about 8 months now. I also own a pair of m50x and Sennheiser HD558's. These are my go-to whenever I'm at home. Really comfortable, sound great (especially for the price), and the mic has worked great during calls or gaming while I'm at my computer. They've held up fine so durability and all of that checks out for me too. Would be quick to recommend to anyone looking for a headset at this price point.
markvalezHey Mark,
I also own a pair of HD558s. I was wondering if you knew/could tell a difference between the sound quality of the PC37Xs vs the 558s?
Thanks,
Kevin
yxsilentxyThe PC37x has always felt like it had more bass response, but not an overwhelming amount. I'm not too technical when it comes to sound quality, but they definitely don't sound or feel the same. That's not to say the 558s are bad though, and the differences aren't drastic! So if you enjoy the 558s, I think you'll also enjoy the PC37x.
markvalezThank you for your quick reply! In any case, I bought these and will bring the 558s to the office. The boom arm + mic combo is getting old, hah.
OwenTGBuy these and a Blue Snowball with a mic arm if you have the budget and desk space, I made the mistake of buying the Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X the day before this dropped but I hope you enjoy because this is defiantly a must buy!
OwenTGSorry for the late reply -- these sound great. Better is subjective as they're very different all around, but I love how comfortable the PC37x is and having an adjustable microphone is really convenient for online voice chats and things of that sort. The volume control is great to have, too. I don't think the quality of the mic is anything special, but it'd be fine for gaming, voice chats, etc.
markvalezI can say for sure that the shipping takes an annoyingly long time even within the U.S, and Massdrop told me to expect it in around a week or so.
