The mic on this thing really isn't very good. It sounds like an old school Xbox 360 headset. If you're hoping to get a quality sounding mic + great cans at the same time, be warned, you'll still want a separate better mic for podcasting or presenting on the internet.

sabin1001I don't see where you are coming from on this when it has been renowned as one of the best microphones you can get on a headset. If you are getting quality similar to an Xbox 360 you probably need a better sound card for your set up, or think about getting a very nice dac and amp as that will give you the best results possible.
sabin1001I had that issue at one point, turned out I didn’t have my Windows settings right. I also had a friend who had a really tight microphone port on their motherboard, and they didn’t have it plugged in all the way. As a general recommendation, NEVER use the front audio ports built into a PC case. Insert swear word here to describe pc case audio quality, but the reason is they pick up lots of electromagnetic interference and have a lot of resistance. For more official support from the actual company, Sennheiser and EPOS collaborate to make this headphone, and here’s the support page: https://www.eposaudio.com/en/us/contact/support
