View Full Discussion Just a thought and without reading the whole 3.8K's worth of comments... in my experience if the plug in hand does not completely insert into the receiving jack, you likely will only get one channel audible. With out having this headset in hand, I'd be inspecting very closely the fit of the plug to your amp/device. It doesn't look like this plug would allow any "body trimming" as it seems there's a brass shoulder of sorts that stops any efforts at deep insertion. If you have a device w/1/4" inputs and a spare 1/8th x 1/4" adapter and try it... Good Luck, I'd like to give these a try.
ed to add. Check out this YouTube vid. (2) Drop x Sennheiser PC37X Headset Review: Great Convenience & Solid Sound - YouTube The reviewer shows both (apparently) plug styles available. at the 9:19 mark he's seen plugging TWO leads from the cans (?) into a Y cable then into his phone jack on the PC. Further in it's clear that one of the leads is the Mic cable the other is the Phones. If that relationship got flip flopped it's a wonder any sound at all was heard. The connection situation addressed above could still be in play.
