Congrats to those that don't support Drop in their efforts to bring these colabs to life by ordering in advance, waiting 6 to 8 months for your knife that you paid full price for. You guys are the real winners. Enjoy the discount. I think Drop is screwing themselves when it comes to future colabs. I'm sure a lot of buyers will just wait until these special knives go on sale 6 months after original drop and buy them then. Unless the lack or orders early on kills the colab completely.

WoodyBaltoStrongly agree with you. DROP needs to totally rethink what their value proposition is and what their pricing model should be. It used to be pay upfront, get a group discounted price with the trade off of waiting longer for delivery. The original collaborations started off being good quality and value but their prices have been steadily jacked up since then, on past and new collaborations. Now they appear to try their luck charging a lot upfront to the original drop participants and then selling their extra inventory on sale later. Which, like you said, will in turn kill off interest in people who join up front because they've been burned many times over like this. People like me.

ToucanI have purchased a lot of knives here. Spent thousands. I have never sold a single knife but took comfort in thinking that I could sell my expensive unused knives for close to what I paid for them if I ever wanted or needed to. That's no longer the case.

WoodyBalto@Toucan Thats why I go to eBay first thing before buying... Nothing holds its value if its mass produced.
