What's the best way to sharpen and maintain this?

Spyderco Sharpmaker. Or, another ceramic rod set-up, do not use those carbide pull-through sharpeners, they are not good for your blade. And, complete systems that re-edge the blade, like the EdgePro or Wicked Edge, are great but take off more metal than you need to just for edge maintenance, use them when you need to re-edge the knife.

Rwl 34 is super similar to 154 cm, so medium duty knife steel

MosesEDCExactly, in my experience its performance is closer to CPM154, which is much better than 154CM. It is a great stainless steel, holds an edge really well whilst not being super hard to re sharpen.
