Wow! This knife looks and feels great. The action weather using the thumb disk or the flipper is stellar. Smooth, comfortable and lightweight. An exceptional value at 1/5th the price of the other designs shown. Massdrop, Bob, and We did good on this one. Did you notice Bobs name on the other knives?,,, TRIGGERED!!!,,,Look at the hardware!!! I have never received money and a knife over a manufacturing mistake. WOW ! As a veteran of the US Army I don’t say this lightly , Massdrop went above and beyond the call of duty . With business practices like, the willingness to fix mistakes, has given me pride, hope and understanding. Thank you!

If you got a g10 version, I feel sorry for you. Most of the little complaints like the logo not being the same wouldn't even exist if you had the CF version. The bronze/rustic hardware is dope as hell with the CF. The liners too! This knife looks very custom for a production Y'all stop that " I want shiny pretty hardware". Sell your g10's and get this one!

OMG. You're still here. Ok look if you're going to cry I'll take it back gosh. I was simply expressing how great the slick checker board/CF is to me. If you're unhappy sell it. As I also said. Crying to me won't magically change it to checker board. Your wasting your time man. Seriously.

When I ordered the knife my main concerns were 1) Is it a good size for my personal use? 2) Are the grind lines going to be sharp like in the pics? 3) Can I use the thumb disk to finger flick open? 4) Is the grind going to be too thick? (ZT 0450)
For me the size is perfect, the grind lines look good, I can finger flick the thumb disk, and the grind is okay.
I do think the rough stone wash looks a little dirty and I would have preferred a more polished look. The G10 is definitely square on the edge. TBD if it will need a little sanding over. I also would have liked to have the normal logo but for me it wasn't a deal breaker.
Otherwise I think the knife is really great. Very well balanced action between the detent and being able to fall shut very easily. I love the look of the knife and the blade shape speaks to Bob's design genius with a significantly robust tip but pretty good cutting ability with the grind. The pocket clip is quite a shallow carry but the design is beautiful with the hidden screw design.
With the $20 dollar refund for the mistakes on an S35VN Ti Liner lock knife with amazing action and Bob Terzuola design I think the value is there.

I’m very pleased with my CTF! Initially I was disappointed in the lack of the “Terzuola” name on it... I’ll never be able to pay the price for a custom or original Terzuola knife. I felt very satisfied by MD giving the $20 refund and thought their explanation w/refund was the right customer service response. Additionally I really liked the original hardware design elements. Lastly, I’m a bit of a “American” made snob... with concessions to Japan or European manufacture. I’ve recognized the merits of Taiwan manufactured knives, but recently had discussions with a close friend that manufactures very high-end midtechs and designs highly coveted customs, about the merits of WE’s made in China knives. My friend is right China is making some game-changing knives. I understand some people have been disappointed by their CTF knives. I’m not one of those people, I’ve been into collecting and admiring knives for 30+ years and my CTF exceeds most equally priced & even some much higher priced knives. My blade came sharp, with no blade play and perfectly centered. The lockup was just right so there’s no stick, nor does it feel insecure. I think it’s very secure for the stock of titanium used in the liner lock. I got the OD colored scales and I think the clip and minimal hardware compliment the look just right. The blade flips smoothly and efficiently with a great detention on the blade. I don’t typically use the thumb disk to open it, but like the option and the look. The blade shape is one of my favorites in that it’s functional as an EDC and it’s not threatening looking for public use. The blade is highly functional as a piercer yet not prone to chipping for tougher cutting uses. It’s not quite as effective as a slicer if it had a full flat grind, but this profile does allow for the fuller giving it the old-school military look. The size is just right for most work environments and yet big enough to cover most all daily task for average users... my personal preferences are typically for a knife about 15% bigger, but I’m pleased with it in its current configuration. The clip and scales... I’m very pleased with the design of the clip. I think it’s got great tension to keep secure in casual pants and it’s springy enough to keep its memory in thicker denim or duck work pants. I have caught it on a coat and it didn’t stretch the clip or harm it. I believe it’s a fairly minimal design that will surprisingly last the life of the knife... I hate to get a great knife with a crappy and “after-thought” of a pocket clip. Additionally, the scales have great puchase and I doubt they’ll be prone to hot spots... I’ll touch them up just a tad with a finger nail file only to make slightly more contoured. Overall, I’m very pleased with my CTF & it’s hard to take it out of my daily rotation. My EDC’s in rotation are a Microtech, an Emerson, and a Great Eastern traditional knife, so it’s in good company... the only drawback on this CTF is its made in China origin. I just can’t hold that against it; the fit & finish, the design/history, and the materials are all top-notch and first rate on mine. I’m very pleased to have found a Terzuola design I can afford and enjoy using everyday.

haroldsmith7Sort of... the Honda was made in Alabama where some of my fellow Tenn Tech alums are mechanical engineers. The watch... well, I can’t afford a Weiss on my HS teaching salary and I think that’s the only fully American made watch currently being produced. 👍🤓

There’s a thread on here regarding cosmetic production issues with this knife, that aside, the knife is really excellent. I took a nail file and chamfered all around the edges of the G10 scales, I definitely recommend taking this extra small step to enhance the feel of the knife. It’s got such a lively snappy action and a nice slim profile for everyday carry. Not a fan of the pocket clip but overall I consider this a premium edc blade that’s doesn’t take over your entire pocket and it is just about perfect.

Very disappointed that the delivered knife differs from what was purchased. Seems like a bait and switch by Massdrop The hardware is different, the makers name is missing. Also the cutout in the handle for the thumb stud is a bit shallow making it difficult to open with the thumb stud. (The flipper works just fine, but I'm a fan of thumb studs.) The edges of the scales are also a bit sharp which looks good when photographed, but doesn't exactly feel great when using the knife. I love the blade shape and overall design. I've gotten to use a Terzoula that an acquaintance owns and absolutely love it! That's what brought me to Massdrop... the possibility of owning a Bob T. designed blade. This will definitely be my last purchase with mass drop.

cprada83I concur.... not a fan anymore, they lost a lot of credibility on this one but I've yet to receive mine. I have not made anymore purchased from MD lately but did love the Perpectual. I've since purchases knives elsewhere and believe I'm done with MD after this one. In the last yea or so I've made over 8 knife purchase.....from MD. I'm so hoping this is a good one.

Just received my olive drab ctf. I'm a big fan of Mr. Terzuolas designs, and actually have a TTF1 variation. This Massdrop release hits all the marks. The flipper and thumb disc offer great deployment options, with a very sturdy lockup. The ceramic pivot bearings and detent ball make this the smoothest knife in my collection. And the overall look is very aesthetically pleasing.

I would recommend this knife to anyone who is a fan of Mr. Terzuolas designs, but doesn't have the serious cash needed to obtain one of his customs. Or, if your just looking for a functional, smooth, sharp tool, consider the CTF.

As I order from this second drop Black and Green 1each. My first Black G-10 CTF has only come out of my pocket to be used as a cutting tool should. My EDUser is top shelf with a scuffed blade, scratched pocket clip and working flawlessly when called to duty.

They really should let you give half stars, because I want to give this 3.5 but feel better about rounding down on this one than up.
First things first, this is a great knife overall. The action is super smooth and the handle is lightweight while still feeling very sturdy in hand. There are a few issues with it though. The g10 has very sharp edges that aren't very comfortable, to the point I may sand them down a little myself. The blade is thick even toward the tip, which I suppose makes for a strong tip on the spearpoint but makes it a little bulky for more delicate cuts. I also feel like there is a lot of space between where your index finger rests and where the blade edge starts and feel they could have increased the edge length or decreased handle length without changing much else. I only removed a.half star for all of that though because it's so trivial.
I removed a full star because the knife I ordered originally looks nothing like the knife I received as far as colors go. I don't really care about Terzuolas name being removed as much as I care about the fact my "desert tan" scales are a drab grey with just a very faint hint of tan, or the fact the polished bronze/gold hardware is now a boring, dirty looking stonewashed bronze. And I don't believe for a second it was a "tactical" choice because let's get real, nobody is using this knife to Rambo their way through a jungle, and even if they were, the blade isn't coated so it'll catch light all the same. Just be transparent about the process next time massdrop.
