If you’ve never heard of Bob Terzuola, you’ve more than likely seen his contributions to the knife industry over the last four decades. After all, he invented the tactical folder and he wrote a book, The Tactical Folding Knife, to share his techniques with peers Read More

So, another overpriced “Made in China” knife. When will we get a reasonably priced made in the USA knife? Or, am I on the wrong site to see something like that. Have not looked at the home location of Drop.

Almost like the ones you can buy elsewhere, the drop knives are five times the price though, and lower quality.

I have this in black G-10. It's my EDC. I didn't even know that there was a carbon fiber version added, but now that I know, I'd love to be able to move up to the carbon fiber version.

Drop Formula: Sv35 and famous name, offshore manufacture. Rinse and repeat. Also, shortening the name of MassDrop to save a few pennies is the dumbest idea ever.

Just got this knife less than a week ago, it seems that the blade moves a bit after very light usage, any tips? the blade is just really loose now, out of nowhere. video: https://imgur.com/a/ypNLYq2
Disassemble and put blue loctite on the pivot assemble

Pretty much every knife above $100 is going to need threadlocker, because most people willing to spend that much will have their own driver set and threadlocker, along with their own preferences for lube and pivot tightness. So you see manufacturers sending out knives with clean pivots that won't stay set forever, instead of the way budget knives will often be threadlocked so that the casual buyer who isn't as likely to have their own gear can just run with it. Nobody customizes or worries over a Cold Steel Tuff-Lite, and people who buy a Spyderco PM2 with plans to immediately put it in aftermarket scales would be livid if all the screws required careful heating to remove.

Mine just arrived today and with the discount I'm very satisfied. It's a beautiful knife, well constructed, a nice size for EDC, with good action. I don't mind the stonewash - looks more tactical. It would be nice if Terzuola's name was one it, but there's really no room above his Mayan logo. I think replacing the pivot with the "D" for Drop would be the way to make room for the Terzuola name. "Massdrop" on the blade could be replaced with "Terzuola"; especially since it's not Massdrop anymore but Drop instead...

Lucky my YouTube algorithm recommended the vid to me last December. I got it for that price too and for some reason, free expedited shipping as well! :)
