DuncanDo you know how well these are packed? It was generally fine when I lived in the US, but my more recent packages from Drop (international shipping) have been in pretty rough condition by the time they arrived. I'm sure part of the issue is with the shipping companies manhandling the packages, but it doesn't help that the insides had minimal cushioning either.
It's not a huge issue when we're talking about mousepads or backpacks, but I can't help but be worried that the amp will arrive in equally poor shape.

SledgestoneThe pre-order opens up at 9am EDT. At that time, the button will no longer say "request". It will say "pre-order" and you can enter payment, order, and shipping info.

Black5adYeah. For stuff like this, it's typically when the drop ends it becomes ”official" and you reserved your product then they charge you.

Black5adonce the drop ends which sometimes is sooner then a month. once they sell through all the expected units they end the drop.

Duncanplease only on the back. this will look out of place for those of us with previous branded units with the older font. please just read the feedback here in regards to it. like when the rdac usb port was changed let the majority voice be heard here. i dont like it but i could live with it on the back. it just looks bad like that on the front.

Lisasonictower To be clear, I’m not saying people shouldn’t buy it because of the logo. In fact, I’ve already reserved mine because I care more about sound quality than aesthetics. If someone invented the best headphone amp ever, and it’s merely a PCB, I’d still buy it because I know what my priorities are when it comes to audio gears.
However, it’s quite clear that people do not like the new logo, myself included. Maybe you don’t mind the new logo, which is perfectly fine, but it’s hard to argue the old logo looks better than the new one. The new “Drop” logo and the THX branding just do not have the cohesive feeling. They are logos for two different companies, and it looks and feels that way, just not in a good way. The THX branding is just a monotonous text and the Drop logo is just slapped in the front. This makes the design somewhat lifeless and not aesthetically appealing. If the design stays this way, I will most likely sharpie it out, or put a black tape over it.

I dont like the logo nor the design and I really hope to remove it if possible but that would not be the reason not to purchase this amp.
That is... even if I *say* I might not buy it because of the logo, that would simply be trying to find an excuse trying to justify the fact that I couldnt get it.
Its like saying the grapes must be sour just because I cannot get it.
I cannot speak for others but I think that is what others are trying to say.
I said I would buy Monoprice THX AAA amp when I found out the drop was open but did not ship to Australia, however I still waited and ordered this one.
I am glad that I waited.
This 2nd unit will be placed at my office.
Probably selling my LCX as I am not impressed by it at all(using single ended).

H_COWYeah, i'm hopefully gonna be able to scrap that off. I wish they hadn't changed the logo. I thought they said that they wouldn't change the logo on items that existed before "Drop". I guess it still looks good as a stack but it'd look better with the same logos

DuncanHow many of these are going out this time? I just wanted to know if I have a chance at making the cutoff I think I pre-ordered pretty early. Also if you put the drop logo to the back, at least we all won't scrap it off... I think people just want a uniform looking stack. I have the 6XX, Elex, and the LCX +SDAC (second hand) and it's great how unobstrusive the logos are on those.

DuncanPage was opened for pre-orders yesterday July 23rd at 12:00 PM PDT. It is 11:45 AM of July 24th and the page is still opened fro pre-orders. 24 Hours!!! Wait and watch how, as soon as the page closes, people will start complaining about how they didn't get enough time, or demanding that only one unit should be sold for customer, etc, etc.

I don’t even know what I said to you but there has been some trolling, some fun and games, some jokes and some laughs along the way, it’s been a pretty good time. I have also offered feedback as there is multiple sides to the new design not just the standard “I hate it remove it now” demands. I do think it looks pretty slick.
So im just going to go with the flow, as I was, like I always do.
I hope you can can understand my side too like I do yours now and that you can give up whatever it is that you read from me that invited you to reply to me.

DuncanIs there a limit to the amount of units you will have for preorder? Im in the military so money can be tight but i know this will be a hot seller. Im just wondering will i be able to jump on this in 2 weeks or will have to order it once i get paid to reserve one of a limited unit.

LisasonictowerTo be clear, I would also think it looks slick enough if I had never seen the original and if I didn't have the LCX + SDAC with the other logo style. It's their product, and they can do as they please. I just hope that they see the feedback and choose otherwise is all. But I'm in for a sweet amp either way
