Thanks, I hate it.

This is a great quality kit. The parts are nice, instructions easy to follow, and there's a lot of configuration options. Unfortunately the move of backspace, \, and ~/` ruin me. I use those keys all the time, and moving between different keyboards, this is not tenable. There's no way to reprogram it to put them in the right place because of the physical form factor. If those don't matter to you, you should get this, it's nice. If they do then this board is a sin against god and man.

AlexMorseWouldn't you have known that from the get go? It's not that hard to look at the pictures to figure out that this HHKB layout is not for you. It's like buying a stick shift and saying you hate it because it's not an automatic. Just wow.

AlexMorseI get some of the hate spewed here, but it's misguided. You really can't know if you can adjust to a thing if you don't try it, and here, like manual transmissions, there's no real way to try it without borrowing one. Anyway. I did some remapping and got it to something I didn't hate using. Still not ideal for me, and I'm in search of a good less-than-full mechanical design that is. I've been using this off and on since march. About 2 weeks ago it broke. It started drawing power irregularly and crashing. The effect would be the OS would reject it after some amount of failures. Disconnecting and reconnecting it from USB would allow it to work again for a while, but this has basically turned into junk.
